Day 1: Arrival in Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, where you’ll take the complimentary shuttle to your hotel: the Captain Cook or similar, located downtown. After settling in, gather with your guide and fellow travelers for a welcome dinner. This is a chance to meet the group, go over the journey ahead, and enjoy your first taste of Alaska’s culinary offerings.

Day 2: Outdoor Adventures in the Eklutna Valley
Head north into the wild beauty of the Eklutna Valley. Choose from a selection of guided outdoor adventures: hike through vibrant forest trails, bike around turquoise lakes, or paddle across serene glacial waters. Surrounded by the Chugach Mountains, this is your first real taste of Alaska’s stunning landscapes. Spend the night at BlueWater BaseCamp — a cozy wilderness lodge rooted in local hospitality.

Day 5: Flightseeing & Free Time in Talkeetna
This morning, weather permitting, you’ll embark on an unforgettable flightseeing tour over Denali — North America’s tallest peak — with a chance to land on a glacier. Afterward, the day is yours: explore Talkeetna’s cafes and craft shops, walk the river trails, or relax back at the lodge.

Day 7: Choose Your Denali Adventure

Day 8: GoldStar Train to Anchorage
Start the day slowly before boarding the luxurious GoldStar railcar back to Anchorage. Arrive in Anchorage by evening and return to the Captain Cook Hotel for your final night.
