      Welcome to Ireland’s northwest! Arrive in the afternoon to Sligo Town, a lively hub framed by rugged mountains and Atlantic coastline. Check into your hotel and settle in. This evening, gather for a welcome dinner where a local storyteller brings to life the myths and legends of the region. It’s the perfect introduction to the Celtic spirit that will guide your journey.

      Overnight in Sligo – The Address Sligo

      After breakfast, step back in time at Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery, one of the world’s oldest ceremonial landscapes. Continue to Drumcliffe Churchyard, resting place of poet W.B. Yeats, beneath the dramatic backdrop of Benbulben Mountain. In the afternoon, rejuvenate with a traditional seaweed bath — a West of Ireland ritual that has soothed locals for generations.       Absolutely! Solo travelers are welcome. We’ll pair you with another traveler for twin-share lodging, or you can request a single room for an additional cost.

      Are flights included?
      No, flights are not included. You’ll need to arrive in Sligo Town on Day 1 and depart from Carrick-on-Shannon on Day 8 (with transfers to Knock or Dublin if confirmed).

      How active is this tour?
      The pace is moderate. Activities include light hiking, e-biking, paddleboarding/kayaking, and walking tours. No previous experience is needed, and alternatives or leisure time are built in.
